TWIN ROBOTIC RAX SYSTEM
X-RAY | FLUOROSCOPY
With the new X-ray scanner Multitom Rax, it’s no longer either/or. Multitom Rax uniquely combines patient care and productivity, bringing them to a whole new level. Its Robotic Advanced X-ray technology (RAX) delivers a combination of high asset utilization, new clinical insights including natural Real 3D, and less patient positioning and transfers. All in one room. It’s the world’s first Twin Robotic X-ray scanner.

WHAT I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MY MRI…
What to expect during my x-ray...
When coming in for an X-ray, you can expect a quick and simple procedure that helps your healthcare provider see inside your body to check for injuries or other conditions. You’ll be asked to remove any jewelry or metal objects and may need to change into a pair of scrubs to avoid interference with the images. During the exam, you’ll either stand, sit, or lie on a table while the technologist positions the X-ray machine and the part of your body being examined. It’s important to stay very still for a few seconds while the image is taken to ensure it comes out clear. The process is painless, and you’ll be able to resume normal activities immediately afterward unless your doctor gives you other instructions.
What to expect during an arthrogram...
During an arthrogram, you can expect a detailed imaging procedure designed to evaluate the inside of a joint—most commonly the shoulder, hip, knee, wrist, or ankle. The exam typically begins with a brief consultation and a review of your medical history. After the skin around the joint is cleaned and numbed with a local anesthetic, a contrast material (a special dye) is injected into the joint space under the guidance of fluoroscopy, ultrasound, or CT. This contrast helps highlight the structures within the joint—such as cartilage, ligaments, and the joint capsule—so that any abnormalities can be clearly seen on the subsequent MRI or CT images. You may feel mild pressure or a sensation of fullness in the joint as the contrast is injected, but this usually passes quickly. The entire process generally takes about 30 to 60 minutes, and patients are typically able to resume normal activities shortly afterward, with only minor soreness that fades within a day or two.
